  • Overview

    The integration of fashion and scientific innovation is the key to ultimate fashion creativity. In order to push forward the much-needed development of Shanghai as a fashion capital, and exceed the development level of domestic and foreign disciplines, Donghua University faces the opportunity of the times, conforms to the national policy of technological innovation, lays out the Double-First Class discipline construction strategy, and has formally launched Shanghai International Fashion Innovation Center (SIFIC) with a new operating mechanism which was established .

    SIFIC is an independent research institution directly under the Donghua University. SIFIC undertakes national initiatives and contributes to regional prosperity. Its goal is to attract top experts in relevant fields, cultivate cross-disciplinary collaborations, train next generation talents and develop innovative research management systems. It is an important component of Shanghai’s global scientific innovation centers, playing a crucial role in promoting the rapid development of design and related disciplines and serving as a fashion innovation think-tank. SIFIC focuses on the following two research directions: IT based Fashion Industry Innovation and Development of Innovative and Functional Fashion Products based on Human Factors Research and Integrative System.
